Paper that is neither newsprint nor kraft paper is recyclable in these big cardboard boxes inside the Recycling Center: magazines, catalogs and other slick or glossy paper; and mixed paper like copy, computer and fax paper, junk mail, envelopes (window envelopes ok) and colored office paper.
Prepare paper for recycling by taking it out of brown bags or other container you transport it in. Dump it loose into the big cardboard boxes.
What it is? Wikipedia says:
Paper is … produced by pressing together moist fibers, typically cellulose pulp derived from wood, rags or grasses, and drying them into flexible sheets. To make pulp from wood, a chemical pulping process separates lignin from cellulose fibers. This is accomplished by dissolving lignin in a cooking liquor, so that it may be washed from the cellulose fibers.
