Watkins Memorial Garden

How many recycling centers have a lovely garden overlooking a pond? Fritze Till and her band of volunteers have created this beautiful setting in memory of George Watkins, a catalyst in the creation of our Recycling Center.

November, 2015:

Thanks go to Joe Beer and Sharyn Tullar for helping put the garden to bed for the Winter, and to the Recycling Committee Chair, Dodie Ransome, for providing driveway markers.

April, 2015: Spring Planting at George’s Garden.
Dodie Ransome and Joe Beer, members of the Walpole Recycling Committee,
plant a second Golden Raindrops crabapple tree. The two Rugosas, ‘Marie Bugnet’ and ‘Plena’ (Cinnamon Rose) plus ‘Palabin’, a dwarf Korean Lilac, will have to wait until the permafrost leaves!
