Reuse Center

reuse center

The Walpole Reuse Center, a service of the town of Walpole, is located on the grounds of the Walpole Recycling Center. Its goal is to divert items that are still usable from being placed into the solid waste stream. We ask local residents to donate clean and functioning items they no longer need and then offer those articles to those who have a use for them. When taking an item, we ask for a monetary donation for the Fall Mountain Food Shelf.

When is the Reuse Center Open?
Reuse Center is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from mid April to mid November. Check the website later in the winter for the opening date for the upcoming season.

Who Runs the Reuse Center?
The Reuse Center is staffed entirely by volunteers from Walpole and surrounding towns, each working at least one two hour shift a month. If you are interested in signing up for a shift call Michael Nerrie at 603-756-4179 or drop him an email.

What Items Can You Donate to the Reuse Center?
Below are lists of some of the items you can and can’t drop off at the Reuse Center. If you would like to donate an item that isn’t listed, please ask an attendant at either Reuse or Recycling if we can accept what you have to offer.
